Who Are We?

ixtapa_sunset_cross_ezrCredent – Believing, giving credence to a belief; belief in something credible.

Star – The Star of Bethlehem, which presaged the birth of Christ.

Credent Star, Inc. – A cost-consultancy company that firmly adheres to Christian business principles and practices, offering personal business Comprador services to select Christian ministries, colleges, universities, educational and health organizations, and to for-profit and non-profit secular entities nationwide. Credent Star, Inc. strives to be the nexus of Christ, Capitalism and the Constitution during these particularly challenging spiritual, economic and political times.

What Do We Do?

Something increasingly frowned upon in today’s over-regulated business world: we foster healthy competition! Credent Star, Inc. helps strengthen our client’s cost management requirements, supply chain efficiencies, and group purchasing abilities by leveraging Christian business relationships and consortium-purchasing economies of scale in over 50 different business budget sectors ranging from office supplies to IT, logistics to telephony, accounting to finance, energy to insurance, payroll to merchant services, and government to private funding while maintaining high product and service quality. This healthy competition typically realizes 15% to 40% savings in annual client operating budgets within only eight to ten weeks, often saving our clients $150,000 to $500,000 or more annually. Indeed, Credent Star’s national budget sector specialists have saved more than $80 million for over 1000 companies and non-profits since 1992. And we work on a contingent fee basis only. That translates to zero net cost to our clients. Simply put, if we don’t produce, we don’t get paid.

How Do We Do It?

By focusing the Comprador level power, positioning, best-in-class contracts and personal expertise of broad horizontal market-sector business relationships against the smallest windows of client time, need and cost, Credent Star, Inc. provides commodity pricing and sector-service levels that are more timely and cost-competitive than our clients can achieve on their own. This not only opens the supply field to heretofore unknown but potentially superior competitors for our client’s business, but also sharpens the service of existing suppliers, while reducing overall costs and creating greater supply chain efficiencies. And it is not unusual for additional cost savings and supply line efficiencies to be identified by Credent Star, Inc. strategic partners even if the client organization underwent a standard GPO analysis and implementation only six months prior.

Are We a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO)?

globeCredent Star, Inc. is not a Group Purchasing Organization per se. Credent Star, Inc. proudly represents a strategic alliance of superior Group Purchasing Organizations. Specifically, Credent Star, Inc. represents Christian agents of broad spectrum Horizontal Market GPOs that specialize in reducing client supply and service procurement costs, by consolidating purchasing power and best-in-class contracts to achieve superior commodity pricing and service standards. According to a cost-ratio analysis by the industry consultancy SpendMatters, approximately 20% of Fortune 1000 companies use such Horizontal Market purchasing consortiums, and 85% of the time those companies realize at minimum 10% savings in consortium model categories versus non-consortium model categories. These Credent Star, Inc. strategic GPO alliances allow our clients to focus on their core strategic business activities, confident in the knowledge that their crucial supply chain sourcing is optimized by industry leading professionals with the same shared core belief system. Conversely, these Credent Star, Inc. alliances allow our GPO strategic partners to substantially increase their national sales activities without the increasingly burdensome costs of hiring, training and maintaining large sales staffs. Thus the substantial dual business advantages of the historic business Comprador model.

Why Do We Do It?

slide_4Three reasons: First, the American economy is broken, and that brokenness is increasingly hurting both the secular business, education and health sectors, and the smaller (and potentially more fiscally vulnerable) Christian sectors. Second, it is clear that fundamental differences of opinion in the crucial operational interface between government and business are largely responsible for this sorry state of affairs.

Proof of this dysfunctional state is everywhere. American business now must operate in an environment where government regulations are more important than full employment, healthy profits, debt reduction and intelligent reinvestment. It is a bureaucratic environment heavy with incompetency and reliant upon red-tape, rather than focused on historically successful capitalist and entrepreneurial parameters. It is a contentious environment with massive push-back against any attempt to rein in budget-crushing special privileges. It is a Politically Correct environment where entitlements are protected at all costs, and inchoate concepts of fairness are federally mandated despite their inherent lack of true fairness, their negative impact on individual initiative, and their crushing effect on political freedom, religious liberty and the human spirit. And it is a perilous environment where the scandals of the Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service send chills down the spines of ardent Constitutionalists and regular citizens alike, while potentially threatening the nation’s nascent economic recovery. It is an environment where every budget dollar saved is a profit dollar earned, one that cries out for a return to the old-school unfettered competition that originally built America’s great businesses, world-class universities, unparalleled hospitals, and prosperous middle class, and the Christ-oriented and Biblically-based belief and behavior system upon which America, its Constitution, and its Bill of Rights were founded.

crossAdditionally, this conflict between American business and government, and the resultant economic decline, has occurred at a time when domestic and global Christianity is under attack as never before. In short, today’s business and governmental environments have never been less Christ-oriented and Biblically-based, and that state presents both undue challenge, and unique opportunity, to Christian business people willing to take up the gauntlet and serve humanity while advancing the Kingdom of God.

As a Comprador, Credent Star, Inc. proudly takes up that gauntlet, and strives to help our clients save that crucial dollar, so they can operate with maximum efficiency and profitability while confidently focusing on their core mission. It is clear that the need for our services, particularly within the Christian sector of non-profit and for-profit operations, has never been greater. Credent Star, Inc. is determined in our efforts to help such entities not just survive but thrive during these difficult and challenging times.

“It is like a person who builds a house on a strong foundation laid upon underlying rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against the house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who listens and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will crumble into a heap of ruins.”  Luke 6:48-49.
